SMP-AM-xx

Fully Featured Audio Monitoring Solution
The SMP-AM-xx is a 1RU modular chassis.  The 1RU frame consists of 6 modular slots, 2 of which are reserved for the Network and Control output cards.  Audio input or output cards are available for the other 4 slots. Up to 2 independent dual output MultiViewer instances can be added to the 1RU SMP-xx frame. 

The SMP-AM-xx allows up to 256 channels of embedded audio to be displayed as international standard bargraphs with a choice of scales/ballistics and a Loudness display including BBC PPM, DIN PPM, Nordic PPM, VU, Extended VU and AES/EBU digital. 

Audio Input Cards
External audio can be input to the frame using specific audio input cards available in three formats:
  • AIPxxA - analogue only audio input card (up to 32 channels)
  • AIPxxD - Digital only audio input card (up to 32 AES/EBU pairs) with sample rate conversion for maximum flexibility
  • AIP32AD - Analogue and digital audio input cards (up to 32 channels/AES/EBU pairs) 

Audio output cards
External audio output is possible by installing specific audio output cards available in two formats: 
  • AOPxxA - analogue audio output card capable of supporting up to 32 analogue channels
  • AOPxxD - digital output card that can support up to 32 AES/EBU pairs

Digital audio cards have twice the effective channel capacity of analogue cards because analogue audio is transmitted a AES pairs comprising two discreet channels (though these are often just the left and right stereo components).

MONITORING AND ALARMS

  • Embedded Audio Metering - Meter up to 16 channels of embedded audio per input via standard balistically correct scales (E.g BBC PPM, Nordic PPM, Extended VU)
  • Audio metering may be sourced from SDI embedded audio groups (PCM or Dolby-E metadata meter segment), or externally via optional analogue and AES/EBU inputs with sample rate conversion)
  • Fully configurable audio metering up to 32 channels per video tile with left/right or split meters. 
  • Analog and digital clocks controlled by LTC input or NTP (Network protocol)
  • Teletext subtitles display (WST on SD-SDI or OP-47 on HD-SDI)
  • GV SW-P-O2, SW-P-08 and RollCall control

AUDIO INPUTS

  • UP to 64 Audio Channels per Card - 32 Analogue Channels or AES/EBU (to to 32 pairs (64 channels) per card with SRC (32kHz - 192kHz re-sampled to 48 kHz)

VIDEO OUTPUTS

  • FHD60 when using MVC Video Output Card
  • UHD30 when using MVC2-LV

  • 1U high 19" Rack mounting Frame with removable front panel, temperature controlled fan assisted ventilation, 6 card slots, seperate rear connector modules and power supply / fan status indicators.
